Professor Takahiro Ito from Kobe University and Yuki Yamaoto from Kanzai University made their initial field visit for potential project.
The project will focus on the consequences of exposure to large-scale shocks - the 2004 Tsunami and the Sri Lankan War.
They visited the GN Divisions of Balapitiya, Thelwatta, and Paraliya North in the south of the country.
This fields visit was made possible through the kind permission of the District Sectary - Galle, and Divisional Sectaries from Madampagama and Balapitiya.
