In 2024, Kandy Consulting Group Pvt. Ltd has provided service as ‘data collector' to Compassion International Lanka (CIL), a child development organization for implementing a micro field survey of “Youth Satisfaction Measurement Survey and Children and Youth (Level 02) Outcome Measurement Survey” in the selected project locations in Sri Lanka.

The project locations were spread across several provinces including Western, North-Western, Uva, Eastern, Central and Southern.

The purpose of these data collection activities was to support the Local Development Centers (LDCs) and the National Office (NO) in using data to make decisions for protecting children and youth.  The targets of the survey were those related to the child development program, which had 4525 respondents in total under four age categories 6-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-14 years, 15-18 years and in addition, collected data from Local Development Centers (LDCs) staff members.

There were 40 field enumerators for collecting data and they were divided into six teams; each team included 06 to 07 field enumerators. The members of the data collection team consisted of graduates in relevant fields.  The data collection was conducted from 04th November 2024 to 30th November 2024.

This survey used SurveyCTO platform to develop the questionnaires as CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviews), which allowed digital data collection in the field.
